Maddy had her "meet the cast" party tonight for the musical she's going to be in this summer. There was lots of information shared, paperwork passed around, schedules assigned--you get the picture.
One detail jumped out at me. At the bottom of every piece of paper was the Director's name, she's also the founder of the organization that sponsors the show since it's a fundraiser for children's cancer research, below her name was a title that both amused and bewildered me. "Miss O'Fallon 2002".
Seven years ago she was a beauty contest winner and she still lists the title under her name on documents?
Don't get me wrong, the woman--or maybe I should call her girl since she's a whopping 24 years old (ha ha)--is perfectly lovely, very outgoing, very good with all the kids, and a great person to be organizing such an event as this. It's just that the title kinda threw me...?

ROFL That's too funny. Cute if it was 2-3 years ago, but honestly - 7 is a bit sad. ;)
